[Protocol is what he's always fallen back on. It was comfortable, familiar. However, since working with Akane, he's figured out ways to bend the rules here and there to enable a better mission success rate. The flexibility made him nervous at first, too used to doing everything by the book. Now, he still is a bit anxious, but much less so. After all, if Akane asks him to jump, he'll ask how high– she's never led him astray.
He gets the feeling that Sen is similar. She has a comforting presence that speaks of her natural way of being personable. For someone as high strung as he is, it's a comfort.]
Thank you, I hope I'll be able to work well with the team.
[And that's that, the small frivolities of greeting and polite conversation. He reaches out as he steps up to the desk, un-gloved hand running fingers across the surface. There's a small plant tucked in the corner; it makes his lips curve up a little. Does she know he has a license for gardening? Probably.
Even so, it's thoughtful and he finds himself wholly endeared.]

[What he doesn't know– no, what he didn't foresee was just how attached he was going to get to Unit 4.
Or more specifically, to his tiny overhead Inspector. She hasn't gotten him wrapped around her pinky (yet), not like Akane, but the pulling effect is the same. He finds, even if it's not a command, that if she asks for him to do something, he can't refuse. Thankfully, she's a reasonable sort, so he doesn't worry about being sent on some inane task.
Today is no different. They're on a mission (simple: flush the enemy out or corner them and bring them in). It's become easy to work with the group, they're cohesive and understood how he operated almost as soon as he'd gotten on the team. A relief, after coming from a team that worked much the same. He hadn't been sure of the dynamic, but now he can officially say it was perfectly fine. Of course, he missed working with those who were more familiar, but at least this temporary move isn't turning out too badly.]
Shepherd one, this is Hound three. How does it look?
[It feels like they're closing in, but he's not sure.]
